Ferulic Acid is a hydroxycinnamic-acid antioxidant used in topical skincare. FDA’s substance record maps Ferulic Acid to the E/trans form, and COSMILE Europe lists antioxidant and antimicrobial cosmetic functions. Ferulic Acid, ferulate salts or esters, and botanical extracts that naturally contain ferulic compounds are not interchangeable ingredients.

The INCI also does not prove a grape, rice-bran, coffee, grain, or other botanical source. Confirm the selected commercial grade, trans-isomer assay, manufacturing or source documentation, supplied form, and impurity profile.
